Perhaps when Rome releases ill do a nice big thread in here as I am waiting to buy 3 rome based epyc servers. Weirdly one of them will be hosting an OCR solution as well as a load of other stuff In context of this thread though if you ignore my other workflow based rambling (my first job was a BPM (business process management) dev so I often go off on random rants when the real solution is to change the workflow), anyway, I think I would still favour a TR based workstation with a 1950x/2950x over almost anything in intels lineup right now to be honest, it just offers more in terms of platform if you look at I/O throughput, the possibility of dumping in next gen cpu's, etc etc.
