New X-Fi installed but I have no sound PLEASE HELP

After a day of waiting for my new X-Fi Extreme Music I cant get it too work. Its been detected the drivers have been installed but i get no sound what so ever.

Previously I had an audigy 2zs installed which i uninstalled the drivers for and then used driver cleaner pro in safe mode to remove any debris.

Ive tried the online update that didnt help. My speakers are plugged in correctly. The system is not on mute. I'm running out of ideas and am getting quite frustrated! Any help is much appreciated.

Try it in another PCI slot - mine was fussy about which one it was installed in.

Just tried that it didnt work damn thing!!

got it working turned out to be my speakers it worked when i unplugged them and plugged them back in! weird cheers for the help. Time to Play!!
