New X-Fi Installed Recomend a good media player and codecs.

As title ive just installed my new X-fi which sounds fantastic what i want now is a great media player and codecs to complement it.

I'm currently using Media Player is this the best? The codec pack im using is kazaa lite mega codec pack.

I want to be able to play music, videos and dvds through the software I just want to know if theres anything better out there.
 
I use VideoLan's VLC player. It is brilliant, stable and loads of codecs supplied. I haven't ever found a file that it couldn't play.

Whilst I have downloaded the K-Lite Mega codec pack I've found another codec pack that looks to me to be a better product. It is the CCCP codec pack. Apparently it is designed to be easy to install and easy to remove all traces of as well.

Had to check but yes. I use VLC for video and Winamp for music so I haven't used that feature of VLC. Go to View>Playlist or CTRL+P to get the playlist.
