Whjat could be the cause?

ATI control centre detects the card fine and all is well in gaming.

minbe does the exact same...the computer just locks up and does nowt!

Therefor I use the latest Version of Rivatuner and it works well....when nothing else did!

Give it a try....you can get it off Guru3D.

Well, RivaTuner works nicely, only got a mild overclock so far but im going to push it a bit further when the weather cools off.

New benchies and speeds in sig.

Still seems low though

With CCC`s overdrive with cat 6.5 it should do 690/800 np and that with my connect 3D master card.
But then that is CCC limit so maybe you could get higher with RT.

ATi Tool works perfectly if its setup correctly...
i find it a right pain in the butt though...too much tinkering just to OC a card.
Rivatuner OC's easily and also just overclcoks the 3D speed of the gpu and mem...it leaves the 2D speed at defaults which is good. Much simpler IMO.

ATi Tool has 2D speeds

Also rivatuner is just a bigger Overdrive, it slackens timings IIRC and you have no voltage control...

I've tried both and ATi Tool > *
