So its one of those scientific studys that are in the same vain as 'a hamburger is scientifically proven to be more healthy than an Apple'?
lol. :p
Somehow i doubt that validity of that scientific claim.
Its entirely dependant on your lifestyle, for what your life span is.
If anything, sleeping can help, its letting the body 'turn off' a lot of its functions, allowing it to repair things that might be wrong. Hence the common phrase 'a good nights sleep will fix it'.
If it was true, i'd be dead by now, ive spent 90% of my time over the last 3 years sleeping for 12hours a day! :p

Mine is quite simple yet fun.

When I have a non to serious choice, I'm going to write the different options on post-it notes, and then pick one randoml,y and go with the one I get. :)

My new years resolution is to drink more beer than ever before and watch more porn than ever before. I like to set myself easily achievable targets. :D

Learn to drive, read more books, pass Physics Part 2.

Oh and "drink less", "spend less", "do more exercise" :p

Hardly conclusive evidence, no matter what links you put.

There have been 'studies' to supposidly prove all manner of things. Doesnt make them right though.
There have been studies that claim that games cause violence. There have been studies that claim this that and the other.
All im saying is dont be nieve enough to belive it just because its labled as a 'study'.

Did you actually read any of it?

The consistency of results among these three enormous studies, conducted with varying methodologies on two continents and over two decades, suggests that they are likely to prove reliable. A dozen smaller studies have supported the general findings of the large studies. No persuasive epidemiologic evidence contradicts them.

which is slightly more conclusive than a quick poll of people isnt it?
