New Years resolution

I think you might win the most games played in 2015 if you do get through all those .

I'm also working my way through my Steam backlog, but not imposing any restrictions on myself, just playing to completion and 100% achievements if I like the game enough to want to. Got quite a lot done last year and have almost done 2 so far in 2015.

I also have that as my new years resolution, plus get more exercise but if I only complete my backlog it will be better than nothing :P

Pretend games that are in alpha/pre-alpha/pre-prealpha/closed beta/beta/public beta / pre order early access and all that ******** don't exsist. Just like when I was a naive little tot playing on my playstation.

That way you avoid the agonising wait and the frustation of being drip fed updates.

Urgh, made next to no progress the last 2 days. Need to up my game tomorrow!

I also think I might have to play GTA V for a bit when it's released lol.

And not a chance I'll complete even 50% of my list by the end of 2015. But I will keep going.

To follow in your footsteps, I've started Alan Wake today.
Good little game so far, combat is tough but I'm enjoying that.

Might make it one of my games to 100% once I've completed it.
You've been offline for 22 hours, slacker! :p

EDIT: Alan Wake complete, what a great game.

another way of doing it if you didnt want to go the alphabetic route is to list all games and use a randomiser to choose for you.

I need to do this, I did try it, but it started killing me, although I did get a few games finished.

Smashed through the Witcher 1 over the weekend to get myself on Witcher 2. I'll finish that over this week, and then start with the alphabet.

Although my games list has just gone ~470 just on Steam :(

There's games I completed yonks ago on Xbox 360 I'll be re-playing too (Deus Ex HR)

bit OT here.

ive got a server.
im moving to somewhere with a fairly slow internet connection (i have 8mb fibre, place im going to is fibre also but max 7mb)
could i download my steam games, move them to my server and then when i want to play them move them back to my pc

This is my plan of action, but instead I have games on the 360 like Bioshock 1 and 2 that I need to play before I can play Bioshock Infinite on steam.

So should reduce my Xbox & Steam games at the same time.
But back at work and my play hours is going to drop considerably.

I think we need a steam group for all of us doing it. :D

Not sure, I know you can with origin (start the download, close Origin, copy files over, start origin & game is finished) but with steam it uses a download folder within the install folder so you can't use the same trick.

However, why not keep them on your PC in the first place?

You can download them and save the folder, or download them and use steam's built-in backup tool.

I just copy the folder - have done it through mutliple reinastalls with no trouble. For specific games you are part way through, it's worth checking whether they save the savegames or config files somewhere else though, to make sure you get that stuff too.

How you getting on with this Agnes?
I'm stolen the idea completely and it's actually working quite well so far.

03/01/2015 - 100% - The Room
10/01/2015 - Alan Wake
17/01/2015 - Alan Wake: American Nightmare
08/02/2015 - Batman: Arkham Asylum

Is my list so far, only have Saturdays to play really and I've been tied to Batman as I was getting the collectibles & achievements.

Need to finish Alien Isolation & Start Batman: Arkham City.

My steam library isnt huge but there a few games id like to 100% and some just to complete

Mainly the New abe oddesy thats released 25/2/15 (pre order allready in ) you sve 10% atm aswell so was only £14.99

Only other major resolution is to end In Silver division or Higher on League of Legends :)

I have such a small amount of games on steam that my library starts at C :(

Most of them are like *game* and *multiplayer version of game*

EDIT:

But i though't I'd start with Dirt 3 as i've only played it to about 25%

NOTE! This is not including titles like Splinter Cell Blacklist, Assassins Creed Black Flag etc etc on Origin and Uplay, both of those will have seperate lists. The above hasn't been filtered, just a raw list of my library and I'll go through it methodically and mark them off, if I need to play or not as I go. Time for lunch, then spend all evening playing Alan Wake.

Jesus Agnes! see you in 600 years.
