Newbie 1st build help

Ok so 1st post, looking to do a build from scratch, ive never built before as always been console. Not got much in the way of funds so looking to utilise 2nd hand parts where possible cheaper parts ill buy new.

Ive got a budget of around 4-500 which i know isnt much at all and im not expecting the world just enough to have a decent level of gaming that if i enjoy i can urgrade in future (so if poss would like a system that has potential to upgrade)

Any advise one where to start and parts would be greatly apreciated. Ive got people who can assist if i get stuck but wanna try to do this off my own back.
 
First off Welcome to the forum :)

The budget you have in mind is a small budget like you say but you can still get a nice little build... Second hand may be your best bet..

Ive built a PC for £600ish over the last few months and I could recommend a solid CPU for your kind of build:

Intel Pentium G4560 £65

Strong performing cpu and will take something special to beat it around that price... I'm sure others will have some input for you so I'll leave it open go them to suggest other bits :D

I know i consider the gtx 1060 to be entry level but at this price a 1050 ti will suffice.

Edit

I know about amd graphics cards around this price being really competitive but then the nvidia is more power efficient.​

Cheers guys really appreciate the advise hopfully i can get it to a level where i can play the likes of PUBG and prefer it to console.
