newbie hdmi switcher advice pls help

Hi,
I have an LG 32LC3R tv which has only 1 hdmi port-which I have the PS3 plugged into. I bought a new dvd recorder a Panasonic DMR-EZ27 dvd recorder which has an hdmi port. I would like to plug both the Ps3 and the DVD recorder into the hmdi switcher so I could have them connected to the telly via hdmi.

Would an hdmi switcher work ok with an LG 32LC3R tv?

Would the hdmi switcher effect the picture quality on the ps3?

Any advice/ suggestion would be very welcome

A hdmi switcher will work fine picture quality will be the no different.

Yes you will but why you running it at 1080i when you tv is only 720p?.

any decent ones to get or they all much of a muchness and not gonna lose any qual as long at there 1.3 version? also looking on a auction site ive seen a 3 to 1 for £25, is that too much or if ocuk sell one let us know or send us a link to a decent one!

Hi

Best thing to do is to look at reviews/comments from people on the one your looking at and you shouldnt lose any quality with any of them.

Just buy one with as many hdmi inputs as you will need the version 1.3 means it supports the latest audio formats and picture formats so its more future proof.
