Hi guys. i am not a comptuer builder expert in the slightest and am looking at getting the Titan Goliath on OcUK. However, I would like it with an ATI 4870x2 which is fine but what (in simple terms!!) is the difference between XFX, Powercolor, Sapphire etc? And which would be the best one to choose?

Many thanks

They are the people that build the components to the general spec that graphics card companies make.

They could each use different components(some cheaper than others) clock the cores and memory at higher rates, put different coolers on and such.
Have a look at which one offers you the best warranty and reviews for each one and pick a compromise between price and which one is "best"

Most companies build cards to the original manufacturer spec, apart from coolers and a few overclocked cards, especially in the high end market.

There is not a lot in it as far as manufacturers go though they can offer different warranty lengths and some people have preferences due to past history with certain companies.

Of the HD 4870 X2 cards available from OcUK i personally would get the
Sapphire one, on sale this week. Sapphire is a good brand and its priced well. It and the PowerColour card have stock clocks, so i chose it as its cheaper currently and the extra year warranty is nice.

The two Gainward cards come pre-overclocked with the Golden Sample card having faster memory and the Rampage GLH card having a faster core and faster memory. If you have the cash and want the fastest get the later card.

XFX is out of stock.
