Hi guys having some problems with the ocz vertex 2 ssd, I installed Windows 7 64 bit just fine, did all the updates to everything but I'm getting bsods with the error stop: 0x000000f4
I have the bios set to AHCI and two ide drives running alongside it ( I get bsods regardless if they are connected or not) and I'm wondering if I have the sata cables for the ssd and DVD drive in the wrong ports?
My mobo is a gigabyte ga p35 ds3p, I currently have the sata connectors in the top two ports, wondering if they should be elsewhere? Or swapped round? Could that cause the bsods?
I can't think it can be anything else but a problem with the sata ports or cables or the ssd itself...I have done a check disk but it came back clean.
At work now so thought I'd ask for advice, thanks
P.s. Windows runs fine when I just use the ide drives with the ssd unplugged.
