I would really appreciate some help on choosing fans and rad.
been reading that most suggest Scythe gentle typhoon (not really keen on the looks so what makes them so great?)
Also what is the main diff in the xt 360 rad and the ex 360 or spending the additional £30 on the sr1?

Help choosing the right parts would be greatly appreciated :D

All correct!

Especially the nickel plexi!!!!

HAF X can take a 360 up top. The thicker the rads, the better they are at dissipating heat. The more expensive ones are usually better at getting rid of the heat quickly.

The scythe gentle typhoons are good because they have high static pressure at low RPMs. Basically, this means that evn when spinning slowly and therefore quietely, they can push air through the rads very well meaning the hot liquid in the rads can become cooler as they have plenty of cold air going through them.

The EK XTX rads, SR1 and thermochill PA rads are some of the best rads if you have the money.

I am happy to spend around 300 max 350 before thing of adding in gpu's
also for got to ask is a bay res the way to go on a haf x
Would the pump I have chosen be able to do the gpu's aswell?
thanks for the info have Cleeecooo

Np:)

The pump selected is one of te best in the market :)

IMO, tube res is the way to go for te HAFX as you lose the top bay with a rad.

Also, tube res' can look really good when mounted properly. A large one to the right of the mobo would look brilliant IMO.

Also, you forgot the fluid :p

I'd get the phobia one as the EK mounting is pathetic:)

OcUK don't stock any of the dyes but you can buy it from mayhems directly. :)

You could also buy some X1 premixed from OcUK?

Yeah he means the 250 ones.

Personally I would go for the EK as the lack of inputs/outputs on the Phobya can be a pain.

Problem is that the EK has terrible terrible mounting that simply refuses to tighten to hold the res.

Also, have you seen my reply to your thread in the gfx card section?:)

Arrr right! :)

The mounting on the Phobya isn't bad TBH, it holds well but I do think the lack of inlets/outlets could be a problem!

Just seen it now pal :D Will reply! :)

Well not really so loud.
and since they in sli compete with most top single cards so will not upgrade till the 600 series is released and a reasonable price
