Hi considering moving from windows to linux because i dont want to upgrade to windows 11, need recommendation on which linux to try, i know you can try them out using live usb but need some advice on which ones, prefer it to look at least a bit like windows and will use it for gaming and browsing and mutitasking, want it to be better privacy than windows and need a large range of apps to be able to be downloaded and easy to understand for someone that has some experience of windows but no experience of linux.thanks.

Zorin OS, Linux Mint, or Bazzite.

all available on live cd for try out

Bazzite is supposed to be good for gaming

Yeah just moved my laptop over to bazzite as not windows 11 compatible, has been mostly pain free gaming wise. Few things like razor software not available at current but mostly a good experience. Every windows game running in wine I've tried has worked pretty much out the box.

As a noobie to Linux, I started on Linux Mint, basically feels the same as Windows to get you used to Linux.

Then I moved onto PopOS for gaming, and more terminal use.
Now advanced (medium more so) using CachyOS - Arch based.
