Newcastle Meet this year? (Now with dates 6th-8th of Oct)

Hi there all,

As we all know we have quite a strong northern contingent on this forum as Newcaslte is by far the best place up here (yes gilly i know so dont say it), I was looking to arange a Newcastle meet this year if any one is up for this.

By the way this is just preliminary with dates to be set around october.

October should be doable. I'll be in the US for 3 weeks or so from mid September but if I'm back then I'll be there.

Well my dissertation is in for september the 30th so anytime after that.

Hmm just had a look at trains and ticket costs... hour and a half on the train under £25 i may well appear depending on the events planned.

well im assuming you dont want hard house but depending on numbers I was looking at an OcUK GP via go karts

Me and around 12 friends went to one just out side town, was really good apart from the lightest one won, and the rankings went in way of weights, hence me coming close to last.

*Thats the first friday saturday and sunday in october*

For those without a calender, that is;

Friday 6th to Sunday 8th.

Would a passing don do a vote for:

Paintballing

Random drunken antics.

date coulkd be tricky for me , don't get back from Vegas until the Thursday

As I said before date is just preliminary, if everyone is happy with the next weekend that will be fine by me also.

After we have sorted activities, we can vote a date. Does any one have any problems with October in general?

Right a bit of an afterwork bump, as drunken shananigans(sp) seems to be taking over, Does any one have a problem with changing the date to the 2nd full (or 3rd sat and sunday) in October.

So that will be the 13th to the 15th? (Rotty seems like a big person to miss from a meet)


I will start looking at places for people to stay etc soon and make a list, also pub crawl routes, I doubt the people who did it last year want to do the same again?

At the moment it looks like its going to be a pub crawl, I would like a don to change the poll to :-

"First fri - saturday in October"

"2nd Fri - Sat"

"3rd Fri - Sat"

Just so I can see when people would rather it would take place. Also if we are doing the all day session, maybe head down to tynemouth or whitley bay during the day as it will add a seaside angle to the whole gettin wasted all day

I would have just handed in my MSc dissertation so I wont care, have voted for the 2nd.

Ok as no one wants to goto whitley bay, what about tynemouth. Never seen any hassle there my self it is a nice place aswell.

whitley bay then....

deffo no where further south from that.. i.e. seaton crew.. whatever it is... redcar .. that toilet area.

I like tynemouth more than whitley bay.

Really depends what you're going to be up to. If it's just a pub crawl and/or clubbing, then probably not, but otherwise, maybe.

Also depends on whether someone is going to organise Aberdeen this year.

Hey mate sorry if you missed the threads before this but I was loking at go-karting or paintballing, people voted against it, but if you really want to do it and have enough people i will orginise it.

we are getting close to establishing a date

now all we need is

is it going to be a whole weekend or a night on the lash or a combination of both

e.g those that wanted could go kart, then we could all meet up for drinks etc

fri or sat, possible places to stay etc etc

No worries dude, as I have always said my finals were in june and they finished today, so if I miss spell something give leaway as I am wasted. AFAIK most peole just want drinks and nothing else, if a fair number of people want activities (i.e. > 10) I will sort somthing out for them. But I am sorry if it is one person against the massives.
