Because he's purely engineered this. He's given his employees no option but to try and get rid of him to prevent further upset within the team.
Barton's had one decent season, the last one. He's been injured or in jail for the rest of his years with us, you think the fact that the club stuck by him when I'd have happily seen him sacked might mean something. But no, he doesn't get his way anymore so it's toys out the pram from wor joey.
His agent said one of the final straws was having Cabaye take the set pieces. Cabaye a new signing, in pre-season where you want to see what he can do. And Joey has a hissy fit because he's not the favourite?
Well Cabaye can pass a ball when he's in the middle of the park which is something Joey's struggled with, and I'd rather have a winger on the wing, so I'm not sorry he's going to go. And despite all the doomongers we're not weaker than we were at the end of the season, we've signed 2 skillful & quick players, a good striker unfortunately made out of glass, one youngster who looks exciting, and some of our other youngsters (Vuckic especially) are stepping up nicely.
The sky is not falling.
