All trailers so far have said PS3 Exclusive, now if that means proper exclusive or timed exclusive I don't think anyone knows except Konami.
It's certainly not going to be on 360 any time soon if at all, best way to look at it.

looks like we won't be getting the 80gig pack, who would have guessed it a
, looks like were getting a couple of **** compensation packages for europe to make up for it, what makes it even more annyoing is that the new packs still come with the six-axis controller while the yanks not only get a better PS3 with a better game they also get a better controller lol.

Looks like i'll finally have to break my piggy bank and go get me a Ps3.

Just listened to the latest Kojima productions podcast (always an excellent listen), and i got a few more bits of info i haven't seen posted.
The 12th June is confirmed as the same day World wide release date, so book the Thursday off (and Friday)!
They said there will be a European Beta test for Metal Gear online, it was mentioned along side the US one and sounds like it will be done the same way. No more info was given about it yet, hope it wasnt a slip up.
The Game will only be in 1 language per Disk ie no Japanese voice over with English subtitles, this is because they filled the whole 50Gb disk (lol), most of it maybe uncompressed audio, but still pretty huge.
The briefings are back and are interactive, you can sit there and just watch or you can take control of the MK2 and wander about playing with things changing music etc, the even mentioned they had to do each persons VO twice so if you got closer to them you'd hear them breathe louder or strain to pick things up.
There is plenty of other info in the podcast about MGS, dont want to spoil it all for you !

Why should i? Less devices i have cluttering up my LCD the better.
Americans got a decent BC version, why should i spend extra to play the few ps2 games (god of war etc) that ive never tried, only reason i have for buying a PS3 is blu-ray, which i can do without, and Backwards compatability. Anything else is out on 360 and usually a lot cheaper anyway.
Releasing inferiour versions of their machines to europe is sickening.

Well there are some PS2 games that do not work as intended on the PS3 (as I am slowly finding out) So if you really want to play PS2 games as intended you'd be better off with a separate PS2.
