News on 360 spring update and DRM policy

Because there are still a truck load of things that need sorting. They seem to spend most of the time arsing around changing the blades and stuff, instead of adding things that really matter.

I see, it's been a while since I had my 360, what I was trying to say is, they have no real competition, and so can take there time with these updates and not have to worry about it, where as Sony really need to be catching up and throwing the updates out there.

I am a little annoyed. The dashboard is a little slower and clunkier than it used to be. Before they added the update that let you see who was on your friends friend list. It has never been as snappy or smooth since then and that annoys me somewhat. :(

dunno, I'd never have a Divx that big. It plays 8gb high def wmv's fine thanks :p

Indeed it does.

the biggest file for divx i have had is 1.37gb. played fine... ive never had any problems playin divx/xvid or w/e files

and hdwmv's = cool.

Pleased about that DRM lift, especially the amount of consoles I've gone through. When I take my xbox to work most of the live titles I cant play due to not having an internet connection.

I agree, Sony do need to catch up on the PSN gaming, communication, integration side of things.

Like what?
Like the simple ability to transfer my media files onto my 100GB of free space sitting there doing nothing? Or, how about the choice of what region you play multiplayer in i.e. US/EU etc? (no more annoying laggy yanks) Or what about getting the best rally game working in BC - Rallisport Challenge 2?

The list, is rather endless, atleast for my wants anyway.

nice truck load of things wrong with live/dashboard in that list lol
never going to happen
live seems fine to me dashboard seems fine to me
just add dedicated servers and sony is blown out of the online water

sorry thats what i meant, they're still separate to dashboard updates. probably done by a different team as well.
Arn't they released around the same time? Saying that, there was word that MS were slowly ditching the updating BC side of things.

Only a few points were made from the potential truck load, I have better things to do than sit here and state every single item. And if you think those three things won't happen? You'd better think again about your dedicated server wish then...

why is that
frontlines already did it on live
ms has always said live is a worlwide wide community there will be no spilt per territory ever

And how bad was the frontlines MP side of things? Awful to say the least, there was also a article, either by eurogamer or IGN that looked at this too. Split territory is something the PS3 does well and it should be an option for 360 users too, IMO of course.

Not having an update is fine by me, if there was an update to add some pointless features id be more annoyed.

I think ive read that MS are not adding anymore backwards compabilty but can't find any sources to back that up at present.
