not sure if allowed to post this on here?

i have a newsgroup account setup, and looking for someone to share the costs with.
Premium SSL, UNLIMITED downloads, 12 Month Term, 50 connections shared with myself
email my trust for details

I can't imagine this even working given that you're limited to a single IP connected to the account at any one time.

This will almost certainly break the T&C of your provider.

been doing this with a mate for the last 4 years, and no issues.

some providers allow sharing

This is a very weird area

I tried this a few times, using my Astraweb account from home & from work both logged in at the exact same time, it didnt work as it was saying I was logged on with two different WAN IP's

However, I later found out that I was using it as I always did at home, not knowing my brother was also using it from his flat at the same time with no issues :\ So it does work, either they havnt got a very good system in place to stop this (sometimes it will recognise two people are using it and stop it, other times it goes undetected)

Other Newsgroup providers may have a better system in place to stop it.

It certainly breaks the T&C's though for certain providers.

Seriously? Not only are you to tight to pay for content but now your too tight to pay for access too illegal copies. Words really do fail me, bring back the days when discussing this stuff an here was banned :mad:

i pay 7 quid a month for usenet access, are you really that hard up where splitting that makes a difference?

I share with a mate it makes sense when I only use it at night he used it during the day. Maybe next time you should try not jumping down peoples throats over it and get a grip.
