Newshosting + Newsleecher here. Now they have both American and European servers you can max out your line 24-7 all for the modest sum of £7.14 a month. Bargain :D
 
I'm on giganews platinum and have a newzbin premium account, I easily pull a couple of terrabytes a month.

I use the rather excellent hellanzb to download nzb files, it automatically par verifies and unrars them as they download, and as it's got a full XML-RPC server built in there's all kinds of nice addons for it. I use Hellafox and my own HellaWorld web interface with it, so downloading for me is essentially a 3 step process.

Excatly what I was thinking

I cannot seriously believe that people would pay £5pm just to download linux isos and demos when there are numerous good fast hosts for most distros tbh.
 
It depends on the Uni, some block it and some don't. If they block it, you can use the research potential of all those thousands of discussion groups as a reason for having it unblocked. ;)
 
well they block p2p/torrents and online games although im trying to get round that currently as they state they will not unblock it for any reason what so ever
