Newton-metres

what a crock, won't bother making threads in here again, every single one ends up getting trashed, idiots :/

Come on now, it isn't like the OP contains a wealth of information and possible discussion points. There's only so much that can be said of your intolerance of Nm.

Yep and there's only so much **** taking i'm willing to put up with. Maybe some people should learn to show some god damn respect, or maybe they are just ignorant as to the circumstances which led to me owning the 300, either way the comments are down right insulting and disrespectful.

Clarkey has posted on here for years and when he was 15/16 he used to go on and on about a 300ZX as if it were his car. Thats all. It's now a mildly amusing quip suitable for use when Clarkey decides to have a go at something.

In this case, a legitimate unit of measurement.

No need to go into it any further.

Excellent, mine has under 1/10 of the power of yours :D

Long live the imperial system I say!

I still remember some of the very first posts about it! :D

I thought it was his car?? Especially when he posted that thread about him stripping the engine.

What happened to that? Did it turn out to be his Dads or something?

I'm not getting at you Clarkey, I'm genuinely interested. I always liked reading about the 300.

It was my dads, he is now dead, it is now in my possession. And fwiw, he rarely used it and was going to give it to me as a graduation present anyway, that particular avenue didn't work out though.

Sorry to hear that :(

But don't let what these guys say get to you. Hell, a few months ago I was getting some absolute slatings but that didn't stop me posting up a video clip of my car a couple of days ago.

Just the thought that one or two people might appreciate it is enough. So if the car is now yours and that thread of you removing bits from the engine was real, get some progress made because I want to see the car at a future meet :)

nothing further has been done to the car since then. In fact it looks in a pretty sorry state right now, next time the rain stops I need to give it a wash. It won't be out at any meets for some time but I certainly have no plans of getting rid.
As i'm sure you know despite being a total car bore, I don't have a license but that will change in the near future, and my first car will be something entirely different, but still Japanese.

Hi there

Guys can we all learn to get on please?

Think of it this way, post what you'd only say if you were speaking to the person face to face and not from the safety of a keyboard.

There is some good humour on these forums but remember there is a time and a place, this is not it on this occaison.

Why on earth is it these days that people (including manufacturers) seem to like mixing up imperial and metric units by quoting power figures in bhp and torque in Nm. This really grinds my gears™, they simply do it to quote a larger number in the hope that people will be more impressed? Pathetic...

Long live lb/ft!!

Its not lb/ft its lb ft as torque is a product
