so i ordered some new shoes for work off the website as all Next stores look like a jumble sale at the minute. when on the delivery options i chose the "leave with a neighbour" option as i wasnt in. I return home from work yesterday to find an attempted delivery card from Next and that i had to ring to arrange a new delivery. this has annoyed me as what is the point in having delivery options if they just ignore them?

now, im not going to arrange a new delivery as i feel they will just ignore my instructions again. also, iam going away for a week on saturday so no1 will be here to receive it AND when i get back i am back in uni 3 days a week and in work 4. so there literally is no day i can receive them now!

my question is, will they still charge me for the shoes if i never actually receive them AND is it worth me nipping into town today to see if the Big next in town actually has stock of them?

No, they shouldn't charge you for something you haven't received. If they try and charge you for a missed delievery, just say that you did specify where to leave the parcel.

Instead of re-booking online, phone up, tell them what you want and where you want the parcel and then ask for their name that way you have proof you spoke to someone and gave them your instructions
 
i would but if i ring today then they will deliver when im away most likely and i dont want them sat in someone elses house. they dont have any of my bank details so when they send me an invoice i'll just tell them im not paying as i didnt recieve them.
 
Ring them and ask them to deliever them for when you get back, or kick off and say you want them delievered tomorrow due to them messing up
 
cant really get them delivered when i get back either as im back in uni and work. and unfortunately there isnt 8 days in the week. i may ring and cancel and prove ignorance to the 1st attempted delivery.
