they are helping someone break marriage vows which shouldnt be treated as lightly as it is , some lesser things are considered crimes.
thankfully most people ive encountred in life are decent people with morals that guide them towards doing the decent thing which is staying clear of any women who are married and will only bring trouble with them.

Honesty is important though. If the wife/husband is cheating on them they are being dishonest to the other person and wasting their partners time. At least they should let them move on instead of selfishly clinging onto them because of their indecisiveness.
If you are going to be the other person in the act then at least accept if it happens to you(boot on the other foot) you cannot really moan about things.
