Well in July the search will start.

S McLaren 3/1
S Allardyce 7/2
A Curbishley 6/1
M O'Neill 8/1
S Pearce 12/1
S Coppell 12/1
S Bruce 16/1
A Ferguson 25/1
R Gullit 25/1
P Taylor 33/1
O Hitzfeld 33/1
F Scolari 50/1
M Lippi 50/1
A Wenger 50/1
T Venables 50/1
C Woodward 50/1
G Houllier 50/1
C Ranieri 66/1
F Capello 66/1
G Hoddle 100/1
K Keegan 100/1

Id like to see Alan Curbishley as the manager or A Wenger, both could go as they both need a change of team, Sam Allardyces tactics are shocking and would never last in International football.

Mourinho!

Out of the list, hmm, it will probably be Allardyce or McClaren.

EDIT: Seeing as the list has been updated...Scolari! - Tactical genius.

Sam Allardyces! No Chance! He is not the type of manager we need. Lets him stick to turning poorer clubs around. He wouldn't know what to do with the likes of Stevie G and Beckham. lol! :D

The real problem is that the list of candidates is littered with names that you wouldn't want or would not take the job

O'Neill is an interesting thought in that he is out of football to spend more time with his wife/family so maybe a role involving less hours may suit him , add Pearce as his assistant and we could have something

That'd make me very happy. Happier than I've been for any other appointment I remember.

Perfect. Absolutely.

Though O'Neil won't take the job, Curbisly could quite well be the one for me. I would love Pearce for the job, but he's not ready yet. McClaren WILL get the job though, which isn't right as he is shocking

mcclaren if boro get relegated same for goes for bruce.

take gullit off that list now!

my personal would be venables :) really liked terry boy last time, hes a good geezer.

mcclaren is a big no no, as a coach ...maybe ...but definitely not the one who calls the shots and selects the team. I think its a bit of a farce anyway him being a premiership manager and England coach. I'd personally prefer the two to be completely separate. Martin O'Neill is a possibility although I think he or Sam Allardyce will be main contenders for the next Newcastle manager. Ideally the next England manager should actually be from England, none of this foreign manager nonsense. :)

First off, the next England manager has to be English. I think its very poor that the country who invented the game has to look overseas to find a manger for our National team. On current form big Sam has my vote, I deffo think Pearce will become England's manager in the future, but let him get some experience and a few trophy's under his belt first.

Martin O'Neill is a great manager, but he will be better suited coming back to his footballing home: Leicester, once we sack Levein ;) :p

So I thought i'd look at what some of the managers have actually won as manager

S McLaren 3/1 Carling Cup
S Allardyce 7/2 Promotion with Notts County (champs Div 3) and Bolton (playoffs)
A Curbishley 6/1 Promotion form 1st Division twice
M O'Neill 8/1 2 League Cups, various titles in SPL, final of UEFA Cup
S Pearce 12/1 Nothing yet
S Coppell 12/1 Promotion twice from 1st division
S Bruce 16/1 Promotion via the playoffs

McLaren , surely they can't be serious , if he gets the job I'm gonna declare myself Bolivian

Same here!

I can honestly say I do not know who I would like to become manager. I do not believe McLaren, Big Sam, Psycho are good enough (Pearce will be in a few years). McLaren has showed he can spend big money and have a team under perform. Big Sam is used to having a lot of nothing and working with that.

Surely the obvious choice is Paul and Barry Chuckle!

I agree with all the McLaren Haters, he's just so boring and is adventurous as Sven isn't. Martin O'Neill might be ok but I can't say I'm that bothered about it at the minute, there's a world cup to get through first.
