Next-Gen NVIDIA and AMD GPUs Delayed to Q4 2013

Seems a bit sudden. Maybe holding off to see how the next gen consoles do? As they're expected to be announced very soon.

I am not surprised to be honest. Titan is still on track though, so it isn't like we have nothing new coming out.

this ^... they probably want to milk the titan for all it's worth before launching the next gen mid range cards

If people are expecting huge gains from the next releases (not including Titan), I think they will be sorely disappointed.

The next dye shrink should be the next best thing.

Anyone get the feeling of Nvidia AMD collaboration here?

I can see this delay being Christmas 2013.

I hope AMD can at least put a new and improved FX CPU on the market before then.

I was going to post Tie and Dye but I didn't want to show my age, gregster doesn't have to worry though as he was brave enough to let his out of the bag :D

Us oldies can teach these young whipper snaps a thing or 2. I was gaming whilst Daddy was still trying to get in their Mums knickers :p

I was a very naught boy in the Commodore 64 and Spectrum days. My local video store used to hire the games out and I would use a tape to tape to copy them.

Bad pirate I was :(

But at least with the Commodore, you didn't have to listen to that God awful screech and you got 16 colours unlike the crappy 8 colours of the Spectrum :D

Things never change though, because even then I was arguing with mates that one was better than the other...Same with the Amiga and Atari...Same with the SNES and the Megadrive...Same with the Xbox and Playstation....Same with the Nvidia and the AMD :D

Edit:

10 print "Greg is the best"
20 goto 10
run

:D

I was a MasterSystem and then MegaDrive kid, got in to plenty of fights about what was better, Sonic the Hedgehog or Super Mario.

I remember the first time i got my Saga MasterSystem, it was for my Birthday or Christmas, just slot the cartridge in the top, turn it on and away you go.... what a novelty!!! Afterburner was the first game i played on it, i still remember it.

Also loved my Amiga 500+, later, the first time i customised a PC, upgraded the RAM from 1MB to 2MB and Input all sorts of code to make it do silly things...

Such simple fun.

All joking aside, it is those days that define us for now - Im 42 next week, still game, and I love the fact that it is acceptable now. I can remember ripping the p*** out of my uncle for gaming as he was so old, or so it seemed, it was weird that he wanted to. Even weirder, he bought a QL
Now gaming is much more mainstream, we do it because we always have, though Im glad games have moved on from the old days, the hobbit used to drive me nuts.
