ok guys started on the slow path of upgrading my rig

spec as below

Amd Opteron 146 clocked at 2.3ghz(stock cooler)
1 gig mixed ddr ram
Asrock dual sata mobo
Ti4200 gfx card
19" dell tft
160 gig samsung hard drive
40 gig maxtor storage drive
19" dell crt

budgets at a stretch unlimited as i'm just using spare cash and avoiding cc or savings so say oooh 150quid a week over how ever many weeks it might take.

ideally i'd like a recommendation for what to get next and what to get in the next month or so

already made my first move and have bought a nice 1900 xtx 512 to replace the poor ti4200 and it should be arriving tommorow

2 x 1gb DDR I'd say, would be a nice improvement, especially teamed up with the x1900.
Arctic Freezer 64 Pro to stick on that Opty and allow for some higher clocks!!!

Apart from that there isn't really that much I could think, ditching the 2 HD's and getting 1 large one maybe?
Abother TFT monitor to lose the CRT and save precious desk space would possibly be an option.

Save it all then buy a whole new system. Especially seeing as the Intel price cuts in july and DX10 and the 45nm CPU's which will be making an appearance fall of 2007.

With that budget then...
Core2Duo of some variety
Motherboard
2gb DDR2
Would be the best way to start, that's amount of money could get you a pretty serious system by the end of it!

Cosair Psu and a nice 20"+ lcd wide screen monitor are the only things I can think of that would not be waste of money.Better to save up for 3 or 4 week's and get DDR2 memory, mother board and cpu at the same time .
