Next Star Trek film recasting TNG crew?

It's the Kelvin timeline, they already recast TOS crew and those movies were mostly ok (well, not 'Into Darkness')

They don't hold up IMO. I rewatched them all fairly recently - between the at times nonsensical plot of the first, the face-melting awfulness of the second and the sheer 'meh'-ness of the third...

I actually think the first is a great film, in particular, it has one of the best starts to any film ever!

The beyond film was total garbage and I see why the actors left after that mess.

I don't mind tng being recast. I like tng but I was young so the crew aren't too engrained in my head like others may have.

I'm not totally against it, the right TNG plot as a base could make a great film.

Who doesn't need a pair of 30 something Hollywood models doing the "there are four lights" scene instead of Stewart and Warner.

I like the new Start Trek movies, although they got progressively worse. 1st - loved it, 2nd - very good, 3rd - dire, really despised this one.

I thought they did a good main cast, so why not with TNG? I'll be giving it a try.
