is it worth going on to uni to do a masters in something or continue with career or what would be logical?

thanks

Would a Masters get you to where you want to be in short/medium/long term?

In your shoes, I'd be tempted to look at getting Azure/AWS/Google Cloud certs and experience (even if it's just building stuff at home).

But if you want to move into research or very specific area, then a Masters might be a good move, especially around security and compliance.

It's hard to know what the next steps are if you don't know where you want to end up.

Some careers would be helped by a degree, potentially - some would be helped by getting some more experience in certain areas.

Next logical step would be to apply for a junior [x] position at a private company rather than a school. You'll get better career progression, pay and mentoring if you pick the right place. Trouble will be getting a foot in the door - which a degree could help with in some situations, but more experience could help with in others.

You could see what's out there and see what they are expecting and if you have what they are looking for.
