Next upgrade path from ATI HD3850?

OK so I built a new pc early December, a Quad Core Q6600, 4GB and a ATI HD3850.

I am thinking of upgrading the graphics card and was wondering what would get me a significant improvment in games like Age of Conan. I only run games at a max of 1280x1024 if that matters.

I'd say wait until June 18th to see what the new cards have to offer.

That said, how much more GPU power do you really need for gaming at 1280*1024? Perhaps save up the cash for a monitor / GPU combined upgrade?
 
Agreed, get a better monitor first....going to a nice 22" 1680x1050 screen will improve your gaming experience MUCH more than a different video card.
 
22" widescreen is a nice move to make, if you're going to change graphics cards though, as mentioned above, wait for the new batch to be released.
 
For 1280 x 1024, there's not much new going to come out for that range, and the impact on the current 8800 GTs will be minimal. I'd go for a 8800 GT.

I fail to see how the arrival of a £450 GTX280 is going to affect the price of a £100 card by a significant amount.

The move up to an 8800GT might not be big enough to warrent the cash. The new ATI cards might be more interesting.
