Next upgrade?

I would upgrade to faster RAM this will be my next upgrade.

Im also wanting to get a new monitor still looking to stay with 1080 but want a 144mhz rather than my 60mhz

Feel like this would be pointless though as my card wouldn't be able to keep 144fps in most games I play.

Also my current monitor is actually at 75Hz not 60, I forgot that.

I'm not expert but for me FPS really depends on how well optimised the game is. For example I get much better FPS in GTAV than i do in FSX which doesnt look nearly as good. Unity engine works really really well for me whereas some other games don't.

This is true, kind of infuriating how unoptimised so many games are for PC. It's almost like devs are like "hey look it opens and you can load in, let's leave it at that and focus on console"

I think looking at performance of GTA4 and GTA5 togethor will be the best example of a bad port and a good port :)

True, then I can guarantee you the new AC (haven't played it) runs about as well as a potato. Ever game ubisoft releases is always terrible.

Anyway back to the topic, a friend has an mATX board he is willing to swap for my ATX and I've wanted to downgrade size for a while now so my order is;

Case>Ram>CPU>Monitor
Hopefully once that's all done I'll be able to start saving for Pascal, is there an ETA for it yet?

My best guess is March/April is the usual announcement?
