I do think it holds up better than http://www.vgchartz.com/ though.

He hasn't updated 360 sales for as long as I can remember and I read last week he's 18 and perma banned from NeoGaf for trolling against the 360.

They're both tabloids though and the only data I really take any notice of is npd.

Ahhh i heard it on the grapevine that they do that, i'll wait until you supply me with some more hard figures on their hard figures which were formerly based upon soft figures.

The 10.8 million was a guestimate. They must have got some real numbers in, so they corrected it. Seems the most likely reason... surprised I am the first to suggest this.

Most of these websites track the number of units shipped.

Microsoft flooded the market with consoles to meet their end of year target of 10 million consoles. Retailers still have a lot of this stock left, especially in America.
