Nexus 4 ....lock screen problem

Hi all,

Has anybody come across this issue please?

...a few weeks ago I lost my lock screen.

So when I do single click over the power button to use the phone ...It's no longer displaying the time and the little round bubble for me to swipe (out of the circle) to unlock.

...instead it just takes me to my home screen.

...another strange issue is ...when a text message comes in ...it doesn't play the full notification tone. it starts to bleep but cuts it short

....any ideas please?

You can actually turn the lock screen off in the settings.


Settings>Security>Screen Lock>None

Worth checking in here.

If not then back up and restore to see if its software related?

I've not had this problem. But I often have a problem with the lock screen not properly recognising my swipes - it's like there's a huge amount of lag or lack of sensitivity in my touching the screen.

I've just generally been noticing more issues with mine in recent weeks, things needing switching off and on again to 'fix' etc.
