Nexus 5 leaked

My friend just bought a Z1 and was annoyed that the SD Card is pretty much solely for Photos and Videos

No idea how you install apps onto it, satnav maps etc etc

I assume there's a rom / app which can do it, but he doesn't want to mess about. Personally I would just use the SD card for media like it's intended as I can never see anyone using 16gb / 32gb with just apps (unless you play a lot of games). That said, I'm one of those people who only install apps they actually use

so if the Nexus 5 doesn't have a card slot, which I highly doubt, I wouldn't worry. Google+ sends it to your online storage anyway which is really good.

You can't install apps to an SD card without rooting, actually some ROMS give you the ability to move apps to the SD card but it doesn't move the app data as well which is what really takes up the room.

What’s the chances of this coming in at around the same price point of the GS4?

Lets say around £30 per month?

General question, but with 4g I understand you need to be signed up for the tariff, but do you need a 4g enable sim or can any sim effectively have 4g access?

High I'd say, although if you've got the cash available it may save you some cash if you buy it outright and get a monthly SIM deal.
that's if the Google price is as good as it was for the N4

it will be the same price on contract as a S4 but hopefully cheaper than a S4 to buy outright

Yeah, if Google does sell it relatively cheap it works out much better to just get a Sim only and buy the phone out right. Looking too stick with Three, they offer 2k mins 5k 3 to 3 mins 5k text and unlimited data (Inluding 4g soon). Can't beat that. then just buy the phone outright. There is also nice deals with Giffgaff and T-mobile full monthy drops to 16£ every once in a while.

so lets say you work in a big city like me - london, where data reception is rubbish for w/e reason and in some parts ill get a steady ish 3-4mb down from my EE/orange/w/e connection yet when I get home or on my way it drops to low 0.4mb or even 0.1mb.. how am I going to stream all that awesome music I need right there right then? can you see where the problem arises ? just because YOU don't need it doesn't mean that others don't so its a problem for some and it isn't for others and IMO covering as much of the market as possible should be the aim but google at the same time wants to push cloud services and I'm 99% sure they will release 8gb and 16gb versions again which to me are genuinely pointless! as 32gb is the LEAST I need for a media device.

I work in the big city as well and don't have these problems.

For £300, this will be my new phone. First time I've left iphone since the very first one but it's time for change. Even if it only lasts me a year until the Iphone 6 which will hopefully have a bigger screen, that's fine for £300 + whatever I get back after a year. Looks like I might still be able to get £150 for my 4s aswell, happy days.

£300 for a Nx5? I expect it to come in same price as a GS4 or LG2, I.e between £400-£500!

OK could be completely wrong in that then. Just read a report saying the Nx5 could come with specs to challenge the iPhone 5s but with a price less than the 5c.

The Nexus 4 was £289 for 16gb, so I would expect it to be roughly £300~

Indeed I very much doubt a 16GB Nexus 5 will be any more then £300, we may see a £330 option if they decide to release a 32GB one, will need to wait and see.

It certainly won't be £400-£500 as Opethdisciple was speculating.

If it's got the same specs as the S4 (1080p screen and decent quad core) along with a better camera - i'll be dropping my S4 like a bag of spanners for one of these!

Sick of being held to ransom with samsungs late OS releases and locked bootloaders too - grrr

TBH I wouldn't mind paying £400 that price if it ensures a kick ass camera and great battery life, it already has the best software (for me) and will have a nice design, build, screen, SoC, just want that camera too be top notch.
