Nexus 6 5.1 upgrade endless boot loop

Keeps saying optimising apps, never gets out of the rut.

I have gone in and factory reset/wipe cache but still doing it.

Any options? Arrived from Motorola yesterday, is it going straight back or can I do something? Worked fine pre-update.

You can download the factory image and flash Marshmallow via adb.

Ah yes I believe you have to enable usb debugging.

Someone here may know a workaround via adb.

Happened to my Nexus 7 2013, when going from 6.0 to 6.0.1 - had to factory reset it

Managed to sort it, was actually very painless once I got the google USB drivers working
