Nexus 9

I think the Nokia N1 could be a decent alternative though it's only just leaving China, and the first country is Taiwan so could be a while.

I went in by the store on the way home from work, had plenty of black in stock, so picked up the 16gb.
I'd been dragging out my 2012 Nexus 7 until these came down to a price I could handle.
Would have loved 32gb, but I don't think it's needed for my usage.

I find this ammusung all I hear is the best thing of stock android is you get updates faster than anyone. Yet Samsung already rolling put 5.1.1 to gs6 and my n9 is still stuck on 5.0.1

Nah... The best thing is that the UI looks clean and modern and runs smooth and fast. Not some tacky dated looking UI like which is TW. Has BTU 5.1.1 been rolled out yet?

And the Nexus 9 is an exception for getting the update late.

I'm happy enough with this on 5.0.1 now. Think it's funny my 2012 N7 can get 5.1.1 right away, and this has a delay. Is this the only device with the dual core 64bit Denver chip?

Stock Android always wins, no stupid launchers, UIs, or bundled crapware.

I've got an issue though... The soft touch plastic on the back has an area where it's not stuck correctly. Looks fine, but can hear it losing stick if pressed. Think I'll backup and swap tomorrow.
Love the speed of this device, screen looks great to me, and the speakers are decent.
Can finally get rid of the laptop.

Really tempted with this at £199 - very good value and I honestly think the 4:3 aspect ratio is "right" for tablets but 16gb is not enough and £100 extra for another 16gb is ridiculous.
I have an Xperia 4 Tablet on pre order and have just about convinced myself to stick with that.
Waterproof, decent bundled keyboard, expandable memory and top of the line specs meant the xperia 4 tablet at least appears to be the first tablet that ticks all the boxes for me aside from form factor.

I managed to bag a 32gb one from John Lewis for £199. They had it marked up incorrectly. Feel very lucky.

Haha, noooooo!
Aberdeen John Lewis had the same error on a crudely printed price thing. All I did was ask for the 16gb, and point out the mistake to them!
Why!?

Edit: For all my love of stock Android, I couldn't resist throwing on the 5.1.1 Dirty Unicorns rom...
Once the official 5.1/5.1.1 release comes out for it, I'll probably flash back. XDA thread seemed pretty positive about the DU rom though, so figured it was worth a look.

Hopefully the official update is as good as this DirtyUnicorns release.
Battery life seems a good bit better using it so far today, I'd noticed the battery drain previous posters had mentioned on 5.0.1.

I think this is a great device for £199, but I'd not be impressed if I'd paid the original £300ish price.
Stock ROM should always be decent!

As for backlight bleed, I'm not sure if it's bad on every unit?
This one seems alright, and I'm pretty sure it'd sat in a John Lewis stock room for some time.
