Blast from the past!

3 seconds? That's not a boot loop That's the stock CM animation

When flashing ROMs the first boot takes FOREVER, give it time

Hah Yea! I thought it was time to resurrect this fine forgotten phone.

I wish i could remember the exact time i left it ticking over, it would have probably been around 1 minute though. The loop just played the animation for about 3 seconds then the screen goes black and repeats itself as before, is this correct for a first time install?

OK maybe not then, shouldn't go black inbetween......

I wouldn't nandroid just yet, I would wipe the phone from recovery and repeat the flashing process once more with a different download of the same ROM

If that doesn't fix it try a nandroid, then go ask XDA

Thanks! I will go try another download location to see if that works. I feel so close to achieving the end goal! Just need to get past this splash screen!

Another couple of things to check are your HBOOT and Radio numbers, which you should be able to see as you put the phone into fastboot iirc (The white screen with the option to select recovery, your radio and HBOOT numbers should be at the top)

They may need to be up to date, been a long time since I did that though

After i root my phone, and installed busybox. can i remove the busybox installer from apps? i assume its safe to do so. TIA
