Nexus Prime

From what I was reading the camera is meant to be a proper sensor so even though its 5mp it should if the rumours are true be far superior.

No one will know for sure until its out and reviewed. The screen on the nexus will be bigger and higher res but its pentile - and the processor has a higher clock speed but may not be a Exynos. And the camera is rumoured to be 5MP.

The SGSII is a very hard phone to beat.

Hmmm I am assuming the SGS 2 will be cheaper... which could swing it in its favour? :)

Every android phone has swype.

 Well my HTC desire was Android and it never came with swype! I do remember getting into the swpe beta but that expired

I thought samsung bought it?

definitley rumours - none of that sounds true.

1280×1024 resolution...thats a 4:3 res for a start

Was following the original 4chan thread and the dude did say he couldn't fully remember so he just said that. Mind you, that was "info" about the new Galaxy S III not the Prime :)

Time will tell about the Prime rumours though

4chan rumour highlights on Nexus Prime (Galaxy Nexus):

4.65" screen @ 720p using SAMOLED Plus.
1.5Ghz Exynos core
16GB internal memory
Expandable memory
Looks similar to Sprint Galaxy S II with a curved screen
Android 2.4.1 (Ice Cream Sandwich)

I don't know whether to cancel the order for the galaxy s 2 in white?

I remember buying a htc desire and then selling it under a month later for the original sgs which I kept untill I lost it a few months back.

The reported higher screen resolution and metal case on the nexus sound quite tempting! But then if I wait for this will I then think best wait for the SGS3? :p

I should have just got the SGS2 on release :D

I would wait for some offical news on the nexus but I dont really see a point waiting for the SGS 3, it should be out for a good amount of time, and unless the real specs of nexus is really bad you wouldnt really need it for the most part imo.

im selling my SGS2 for this on release. i want a pure google phone. sick off rooting and debranding. all the bloatware and naff stuff does my head in. time for a google phone i thinks

IF true then wahey, this is the perfect size... somewhere between the SGS II and the Galaxy Note. I don't need a pen, but I do want an uber screen rez and good size, and this may be the best blend of size and portability yet. I was all gunning for the Note, but if this really is almost 4.7" and 1280*720 then i'm sold. :)

Wonder what unannounced phone can match the SGS2 for camera ability? Nexus Prime? A Sony Ericsson maybe?

This might be the one for me. The Galaxy Note does sound amazing but 5.3" realistically will probably be too big for me. The S2 I am using at the moment is good but I can tell the difference in clarity of text between this and my previous phone (iP4) so a higher res will make all the difference. Will be following this thread for updates! :)
