Interesting.......

"It appears that there may be “more than meets the eye”, if I may quote my transformer friends, in that Samsung video we saw early this morning – not just a “Nexus” phone, but a tablet too. "

There might be nothing to that but if it is true it should stop *some* of Apples lawsuits! Then again the iPad3 is suppose to be curved as well so maybe Apple have this design patented as well!

Nexus phones haven't really sold well- maybe this will be the one that changes that?

Erm, no? Am I not allowed to post here or something?

If not, too bad, because I am.

you kind of just float around playing devil's advocate/trolling when we all know you're a big gay iphone user

I'm certainly NOT gay.

And with regards to trolling, I don't remember entering a thread about a phone I'm not even remotely interested in to try and wind people up. Back to you.

No, but I'm also a BlackBerry, Symbian and Android user as well.

These are phones we're talking about after all. I didn't realise you had to pick only one and then defend it to the death!

sunny007 · 5 Oct 2011 at 18:51

Can't wait for the tablet announcement, if its true

photoshop · 5 Oct 2011 at 18:54

From my observations Robbo, you seem to be bigging up the iPhone 4S (and even the 4) but coming in here and slating Android phones.

The people in this non-apple forum are not interested in how cool the retina display is. They interested in Android devices.
All you do is compare Android devices to Apple and Android to iOS! AND Apple and iOS always come on top in your statements.

Why don't you just concentrate on the Apple forum and let these guys be?

Of course you didn't but a bit of baiting helps

and of course you can wear a different hat whenever you see fit. Now we understand your position.

Then your observations are wrong.

I'm planning on buying a Nexus Prime (unless it's rubbish, which I doubt), just like most people in here.

I was also the first person moan and be disappointed about the fact there isn't an iPhone 5, but that doesn't mean the 4S is rubbish as some idiots are suggesting.

It's nice to be in a position like that. Having gone for the Nexus S last December and resisted the SGII this will be a phone change I’m really looking forward to. The spec change from the S will be a big step forward.

It should be a big step up, certainly.

I have 2 concerns really, will be the 4.65" screen (that's right isn't it?) be a little bit too big for some people?

And will it have some noticeable hardware improvements over the Galaxy S II. It will need a couple in order to tempt over the Galaxy S II owners, surely!

Either way, it looks pretty great from the curved side view we've seen so far!

what you have every phone? pimp or drug dealer TBH

well regardless you do play devils advocate and do stir a little

cymatty · 5 Oct 2011 at 19:50

My only concern is that the journos who are bored after the lacklustre showing yesterday will jump all over this device and big it up with outlandish specs like an additional tablet attachment or a 16mp camera.

The the real thing can only then be another disappointment.

Not every phone, but a few. Pimp or drug dealer? That's the only explanation you can come up with?

_Jimlad_ said:

Only when people ask for it, there's always a reason behind it.

The screen should feel about 4.3" with software home/back/menu buttons taking real estate at the bottom/sides.

Hopefully certain apps can utilise the whole screen (like eReaders, video players, games etc) That's what Apple need to do with the iPhone, just too much of that 3.5" screen is wasted by buttons.

Wicksta · 5 Oct 2011 at 20:15

The iPhone 4/S has a bigger lower bezel than my 46 inch TV downstairs.
