Funny thing, i dont know whether its software, or hardware related, but over the past two or three weeks my connetion to the net would freeze, or become very slow.
Bit torrent would stall, or become very slow, i sometimes could not connect to the net at all.

So, i've switched OFF the nvidia firewall, and everthing seems now to be fine.

However, i quite liked it when it worked, and was wondering if anybody else has had the same problem with the Nforce boards, or indeed if its a precurser to it breaking down entirely.

Im having a similar problem using the nforce network port. Can hardly access any internet pages, being cut off repeatedly from MSN etc. Switched to the Realtek network port and all appears fine. Did you find out what the problem was in the end? Im using MS K8N Neo2 Platinum.

The firewall is cruddy to say the least. I had loads of problems with my machine losing the network connection but they all went away after removing the firewall.

Same here. I was told to stay well clear of the built in nVidia firewall. No problems now with the router and Kaspersky Internet Security suite :)

The nForce port is a very good port but NO-ONE should install the firewall. It is well known for being totally arbitrary in its application and often causes freezes of the port. The port works fine without the firewall and active armour - much better than most other gigabit ports (esp. on nF4 where it runs off the PCIe BUS).
