NFS shift crashes after changing nvidia to radeon

hi all,
Just changed my GTX 260 to a shiny new Radeon 5850 vapour-x.
problem is NFS shift now crashes with a physix error.
can anyone suggest a fix for this.

you probably need to re-install the physx system software since it probably uses different files for Ati hardware.

Turn off FizzX.

Did you properly uninstall the Nvidia drivers?

i un-installed the nvidia drivers from the windows control panel, is there a better way?
how do i re-install the physx system software ?
can i disable physx in NFS shift?
