I'm aiming to get a tower cooler for when I build my new pc.

Asus Prime X299-A II, i9-10980xe, Lian-Li 021 Air. Maybe a very mild oc for the hell of it.

I'm new to tower coolers, is it possible to set the cooler fan to that it aligns to the case flow? ie front fans blowing in, rear fan blowing out?

I've just built a new AMD Ryzen system using the Noctua NH-U12S SE-AM4 which is the AMD only version of the cooler. As you can see with my pic it's quite a compact cooler yet powerful and you could add another fan to the rear
of the cooler making it a push > pull dual fan config.

shame Master is £100 - Stronger 70amps phases vs ASUS 60amps

That's a very tidy install, nice work! I see you have Noctura case fans too? Which graphics card is that in there?

Well, your Lian-Li 021 Air only has room for 155mm tall coolers .. so most (if not all) 140mm fanned towers are to tall to fit in case .. even some 120mm fanned coolers are too tall.

Scythe Muge 5 and Fuma 2 are 154.5mm tall and are quite good.

Too bad Thermalright isn't in more retail outlets. They have Silver Arrow 130 that is only 130mm tall and Macho 120 is 150mm tall.

Thanks, I have another thread about this, I found it out watching a video yesterday - it's a bit if a bummer. I like Lian-Li cases. :(

With near the same performanceNH-U12S is £56.99 and Dark Rock 4 is £62.99. But the problem is Lian-Li 021 only has room for 155mm tall coolers so neither will fit. If it was a case with 171mm of CPU clearance I would suggest TRUE Spirit 140 Power. It cools or better than any cooler as well as is just as quiet .. and for fifty quid it is the lowest priced top tier cooler made .. but it's fins also reach 77.5mm both sides meaning it blocks PCIe sockets on some otherboards.
