Are there many people here that play the NHL series?

My copy of NHL 12 has been dispatched today - looking forward to trying it out.

I can remember being completely taken back by how complex the controls seemed when I first played NHL 10, but now I'm hooked!

I love it! Played 10 for a while, got hooked on the game (xbox and real life!) so got 11, and will definitely be getting 12 :)

I'd urge anybody to give it a go, even if you've never seen ice hockey in your life

I'll be getting it but not until Christmas, also I'll be playing single player and standard head to head games quite a lot. EA really seem to be pushing the BAP mode and it doesn't do anything for me so I'll be spending most of my time in Dynasty.

I might give the Hockey Ultimate Team mode a proper go this year around.

I tried it out last year and it was quite addictive.. It makes you wanna keep on playing as many games as possible just to buy new decks of cards. Quite exciting when you open a pack and see what players you get for your team.

Got the demo and impressed, doubt I'll buy it though as even though I enjoy NHL I just never seem to buy the games, mostly as for some odd reason NHL or most EA sports games hold there value until the next release... By then not interested anymore, NHL 11 was sub £40 in most shops for ages and second hand copies don't appear all that often in the local game stores...

Odd really.. You see the odd copy of NHL 09 or 08. I guess with sports games you want the latest version, like i'm into F1 and I'll get F1 2011 on release day, as I want to play with the latest teams... If that makes sense..

I went back to NHL last year (NHL 11) and found the controls to be way too complicated for me as a casual game. I picked up NHL 2K9 for 4 quid and it was perfect, I'm not too fussed if my team is a bit out of date :)

Same here.

The purple shirted guys are doing it for 37 quid this year, thats realy decent for a ea release non global.

Allways want to, but never do.. aka 09, but 3 years at that price, im off in to town to grab it later..

Nhl's top dollar, single or multiplayer:)
