Nicknames.

When I was in school...
BFG - with friendly replaced with ****ing
Barn
Lanky ****

These days people call me "The Bear" or "Bear" due to a jumper I use to wear, which was a bit fluffy.

Nicknamed 'The Tank' for uni antics. It's not original though, it's from Oldschool. My everyday use nickname is 'T', again not original, from Sopranos.

Ant

ive been known as beef, slim, steak, beep, tim, tomithy, timish and finally tommy boy which is the most used one these days

im 'fatman' - came from when fatman scoops first song came out and as it was on a mate just called me it, then it stuck

in the first year of uni I went on a *diet* of carling, mccoys, pasta and chicken, oh and takeaways. However since then ive lost 2 stone so i look slightly different.

ive been fatman for neally 3 years now

Only nickname I've ever had is Murf, but I've been pretty vigilant with ensuring it stays that way. When I meet people they're told that I'm Murf, because my surname is Murphy. A lot of the people I know don't know my first name.

I thought you were called Murf Murphy :p

Nickname has always been Bren or my full surname; and since uni it's been Andy. Thinking of calling my son Brandon Brendan Bryan Brennan. He'll be a strong character once he's finished school :p

Nicknames are given to you, you don't make them up for yourself

Depends on where you are and the norms regarding that, from my circle, it is perfectly ok to use (or give yourself) an aka or alias which some people call nickname!

Murf Murphy? I like it. :D

My childhood nickname and the name I am still known to mates from back home and the odd schoolteacher I bump into... Bix.

Started as a really silly primary school thing... someone decided PeterBix sounded funny as it rhymed with Wheetabix and it kind of stuck ever since.
