Received a bottle of this very kindly as a present. However, I've never heard of it before. It is decent or not? I'm only asking because I got given some champagne called Deutz once and it made me feel ill all night.

Worst "I've got champagne" thread ever.
 
It's pretty ordinary stuff really. Not one I'd recommend, but equally not one which will make you unwell.

Enjoy! Free champagne is the best kind ;)
 
Its alright, a lot of places use it as a "house" champagne. Its decent enough stuff though and shouldn't be sniffed at :)
 
It's not that bad, but I would never choose it myself. If it was free I would probably pass it on as a pressie to somone else :)
 
I'd take it over Lanson any day. I have the biggest hate for Lanson black label over any other thing.

Apart from the terms "cloud" and "apps". No, Lanson still wins.

It's alright, basically, but won't blow you away. Duetz shouldn't have made you feel ill, also. Hell, chance you had a duff bottle, but rare you'd get a bottle making you ill, unless you drink 3 bottles of it.

Nothing wrong with Lanson! As for the Deutz... me and my gf both woke up with terrible acid indugestion. Actually painful. Never again.

And Lanson is that bad, compared to a lot of other bottles on the market, at, or below that price. Let Lanson warm slightly. Then you really notice...

Apparently it's got a lot better fairly recently but to be honest I can't be arsed to give it a go.

Feuillatte is ok stuff, not treally to my tastes. It's generally Majestic's go to offer fizz at around £15.
 
I don't find Lanson all that bad. I'd put it slightly better than Feuillatte, which is a decent bottle at the price.

I'd rather get a decent red for that money though.
