Night shift working (working alone)

Check with the HSE or your H&S manager. They have to have some form of lone working system in place. WE have to do that at work, whether it be one of the managers at a desk or some of the more manual based tasks.

i work from 7pm to 7am wednesday to monday,first few hours i have quite a few people with me but around 9ish im all alone until 7am,i find it better working alone,you concentrate more.

As a few people have said here there isn't anything legal that prohibits lone working in itself. However, a risk assessment should be completed linky for details

We work our nightshifts alone. From 22:30 - 06:30.

We aren't technically supposed to leave the room for a pee! But obviously thats not possible!

/edit - what someone said about tripping up, is true! if that happened to us, we would be in the crap! Which is funny given that its happened to a few of our employees in the day, yet we still work alone at night!
