Nights screenies

And why the hell did you post that picture of Tony Hawks Downhill Jam on the Wii?
And I haven't seen a PS2 title looking as bad as that in a while.
Which is why I posted Tony Hawks screenshots!

Again, if you're a graphic whore, why bother to post it here?

I'm talking specifically about Nights, I already said the Wii is capable of more
We haven't seen the game in motion yet? For the screenshot, I think it looks fine to me.

There is a chance as Sega are multiplatform but nights would work so well with the remote.

What would you have the controls like ? Like a paper aeroplane type affair ? or pointing to a place you want to fly. But then it was only ever a matter of up and down it just goes round if memory serves ?

Im not sure I ever truly 'got' nights, what was that thing that came over to kill you while you were in person form on the floor. Why were you collecting the balls ?

That still doesn't explain why you posted a screenshot of Tony Hawks on the Wii. I said NIGHTS looks worse than PS2 stuff, yet you posted screenshots of Tony Hawks

I never said PS2 Tony Hawks looks better than Wii Tony Hawks. Maybe you should try reading my posts correctly.

And easy on the rolleyes son, no need to get your knickers in a twist.

When did I say I was a graphics whore?

You obviously missed another of my posts in this thread:

To be fair though we all know that graphics aren't what the Wii is about.

See?

You have got me all wrong, I think the Wii is a great machine that's all about the gameplay, but I am simply pointing out that the blurry low resolution textures of Nights make it look like an N64 game in some shots, and even with the gameplay-before-graphics ethos of the Wii it's still no excuse for developers to create something that is a step backwards from the Gamecube.

The alarm clock wasn't it?

The whole concept was that the game was a dream world for the two main characters, and they were trying to rescue dreams from some evil nightmare person. Thus if the alarm clock caught you, you were woken up and left the dream world before you could complete your mission. The game itself was a sort of race/collection challenge. You had to collect all the orbs within the required laps, while also getting as high a score as possible. The fun came in perfecting each level and mastering your control, rather than simply breezing through it once.

I loved Nights. It was just the right side of trippy while still making sense. Plus it was so lovely and fun. Wheeeeee circular stunts.

Absolutely sums up how I feel about the Wii so far. I've got lots of games that I have thoroughly enjoyed (more than in a long while), yet it's so frustrating that they're taking the **** developing games with fine controls at the expense on making any improvements on graphics. Take Prince of Persia. Looks good, but it was made in 2005. And the controls aren't even perfect. Just what the hell were they doing? = ££££.

Be careful Syph, you're starting to sound like me ;)

I knew I was right!

I'm not so sure, the geometry and texturing seems N64 quality to me.

I was going to correct N64 to GC, but really looking at it, yep it looks very N64ish.

Iv'e been looking through IGNs archives and tbh it is closer to Segas own Dreamcast than anything.

I would like to see it in motion really.

There were rumours of Nights coming to the Dreamcast just prior to it's premature demise. Maybe it's an old project that they've revived.

Are you seriously defending that screenshot?

It's poor.
Well, wait and see for when it comes out. Reserve your judgment.

Enjoy your Wii while xbox 360 and PS3 owners bashing at each other in other thread! :D
