Does anyone know this camera well at all?

At it's highest setting, is it capable of producing snaps suitable for printout to 7x5 prints?

There are 2 "high" resolution settings which are both the same (sorry, cant remember the exact number) but one has a * by the side of it. I believe this means it to be interpolated(sp?). I understand that Interpolation is used to increase an image size by adding pixels.. but what does it do on this occassion when both sizes are the same?

    Thanks for any help.

Sorry if it sounds a little noobish.

Should be fine. I could get decent 5" x 7" prints from my old crappy 2mp kodak P&S.

Edit: To answer your 2nd question it might just be a higher quality jpeg compression setting. I think that's what it does on my s9500 at the 'fine' setting where the pixel count stays the same.

you should get good 12x18 inch prints from 5 megapixels so 5x7 will be no problem
