Nikon D3100 ?

Im thinking of buying one in september so i can use it for my video projects for final year of uni, and some other bits and pieces. I have the D300s and will be keeping it, it does video too but no constant autofocus.

For £500 it should be as good as a £500 dedicated recorder, with the advantage of taking pictures too ? And I can use my lenses on it which i cant with a normal recorder.

Im thinking D3100 + 50mm F1.8 will make for very good defocused bokeh ?

Stick with the D300s. Learn to manual focus. Much more effective in videos (afaik?).

IMO Concentrate on sorting out the glass first.

Impossible to say, nobody really yet knows how good the continuous AF in video actually is, that aside it seems a bit of curious thing to do when you've just got a new body and have a list of expensive glass you want to get...
