Nikon d50 stolen out of car.Insurance but what replacement?

Hi all, my camera was stolen out of my dads car the other night. But i know that the d50 is not manufactured any more so what would be the equivilant replacement.

thing is tho is the cost...i think it was around £500. i think. you know how insurance companies work.

yep..as my dad said i spend £450 on it before i had chance to say anything. like maybe say i had more than 1 lens . So i had to suggest the d40x as a replacement.

If i could have found the d80 for around £500 all in then i would have pushed for it.
