Nikon recall / return - experiences?

They've told me memory card slot 2 isn't working. To be fair it wasn't when i sent it. I've emailed and asked them if they can fix it for free as a gesture of goodwill due to the shutter recall.
 
They offered to knock 25% off the quote to fix it. They said the pins were bent? Odd as the camera was purchased new and I've never really used card slot 2..

I told them no, so they're going to replace the shutter for free as per the recall and send it back to me.
