Ninja Postman?

It does not make sense why a courier would drive up to your house in a van with a card to post to you but not your parcel. Where is the sense in that?

As for postmen I call BS on the majority of the stories where the postie did not have the parcel on him. Again what sense is it for the postie to have your parcel in front of him at the sorting office to then write out a bunch of "not in" cards to take with him? They would just be making more work for themselves and they are not that stupid.

The most of the UK Royal Mail depots are using the van share scheme so they have the ability to take the parcels, also with Royal Mail changing the face of their parcel system in April they will be more equipped to deal with the amount of parcels that gets but through the RM system.

I work from home and my wife is a housewife (get back in the kitchen..........she's also a student and a glamour model (last bit of the last bit is untrue)) and it happens frequently. Unless they are tapping on the door with a sponge they are not in anyway trying to get us to open the door. We have a doorbell which relays around the house.

My current postman is a hero! He always turns up (in shorts weirdly) and takes everything to my door no matter how heavy! He also always waits 2-3 mins so I can put the dog away and make it to the door without any hassle.

Our postman goes above and beyond , always get talking to him in the local bookies.

He tends to tell me he does his best to get back in the bookies sooner, but on a serious note hes a top man. If were not in he will try my Aunties 2 doors down, if they arn't in he will try my other Aunties 2 doors down from there... if all fails he lives 2 roads away and will either call again or take it home and bring it the next day (Im sure that's just with me as he knows my entire family) but top bloke but generally he's a great postman couldn't imagine him not delivering things on purpose.

Same thing happens in my area as well, I have made so many complaints. Some times he leaves packets out side of the door when we are not at home.

Simple thing to do here is keep them and say they have not arrived. After an investigation or 2 of this happening he wont do it again.. If it does just continue, for all they know it has been stolen because they left it in an unsecure location which they are not supposed to. ;)

To get this level of service I normally have to pay extra for yodel's next day. They never fail to **** up. Utter idiots.
