So in the excitment of getting all my new gear I build it up with a celly but desided to leave the scythe ninja off it for time being. Silly young me lost of on the metal clips that hold to fan on. So ok no biggy Ill uses some wire and tie it on. But wait I ordered a Delta 120mm fan big thing it is.

Would you use the scythe or delta one due to weight size etc?

Would the CPU fan connector on the P5W DH control such a powerfull fan or would I need some sort of control unit?

Regards and thank you

Sound inst a problem got a logitech Z-5500 :)

But wouldnt this put strain on the slower fan and cause it to burn out?

Not at all - there's plenty of space around the fins for the Delta to pull in air - it probably won't make much difference, but then why not give it a try and see - run a bit of Prime 95 and see where the temps stabilize with the delta, the stock, and both. All part of the fun of tweaking.

Well ill give it a try waiting until I get my e6600 tho this celly is nothing compared to me old athlon xp :p even at 3.0 ghz :(

Still got lots to read and research before I start overclocking new cpu.

If anything tho I would say a slower fan pulling would cause the faster fan to blow hot air in all sorts of directions. My guess would be the Delta pushing for best temps.

Sell the delta, it won't be much better than the stock fan just a hell of a lot louder. The fins are spaced to far apart for it to be effective.

I wouldn't connect the delta to the motherboard fan header, it draws a fair amount of power.

Do you actually know how loud these things are?
It will drive you insane in minutes.
